If they were serious they would put it in the job forum.

Who is the chick at 0:08? Must either be British or Canadian. She had a poppy on. And if she is not, good on her either way.

Kowalski: Sir, we may be out of fuel.
Skipper: What makes you think that?
Kowalski: We've lost engine one, and engine two is no longer on fire.

Yep, I think it is hilarious that the latest American astronaut just went up to the ISS in the 111th launch of a Soviet-designed spacecraft first flown before Apollo.

They launched in blizzard conditions. They scrub Shuttle launches for CBs over the abort landing strips.

Lots of people on this forum should apply......the only thing they are good at is taking up space.

If a pilot walked into a forest and had to make a decision, and no one from AVCANADA was there. Would the pilot still be wrong?

This sounds really inspiring on the video, but actually does anyone know for sure if it's real? I mean is there any official info available in written form?

Well, I would imagine "they're" likely looking for people who meet a minimum level of spelling and grammar skills...

According to the source, the recruitment is real: http://nasajobs.nasa.gov/

This opportunity is open for US citizens only, of course. Loved this bit from the recruitment webpage:
Since all crewmembers will be expected to fly aboard the Soyuz vehicle and perform Extravehicular Activities (space walks), applicants must meet the anthropometric requirements for both the Soyuz vehicle and the extravehicular activity mobility unit (space suit). Applicants brought in for interview will be evaluated to ensure they meet the anthropometric requirements.
If this is a requirement for prospective future astronauts, who probably have to train for several years to become fully qualified, one has to wonder how many years will have passed until US has its own operational manned craft. I still don't understand how such a ridiculous situation was allowed to happen in the first place.

All the German engineers the US brought over after WW2 are dead.
