Good to see i'm not the only one fascinated by this aircraft.....I'm not so sure why it's on TC's shitlist but i did read somewhere that certain US aircraft manufacturers were behind the FAA restrictions regarding the 300 mile operating radius, only from it's home base and it has to take off and land at it's home base only....and cannot be used for hauling skydivers, limiting it to basically sight seeing for the owner.
Now that above is the situation in the US, we have two flying here in Canada, I'd love to hear from those pilot/owners as to the Canadian limitations....
Someone mentioned a large fleet of AN-2's would give stiff competition to a certain well know single engine hauler widely used in Alaska.....I think there are a couple of capital C's in the name
