Best procurement that went relative smooth was purchase of the C-17 heavy lift fleet , which no doubt was needed big time.

All I can say is for the price of one... you can buy 10 AT-6 Wolverines and strap some AIM-120 AMRAAMs and AIM-9 Sidewinders on her and be better off.

If anything go with the Scorpion ISR/Strike aircraft also by Textron.

The Scorpion is a point design for Armed ISR. Nothing else. It wouldn't do well in the NORAD mission. How do you intercept a 777 flying M0.85 at 37000 ft in a Scorpion?
