I remember last year Transwest brought up their first Beaver for the season into Stony Rapids and the guy landed and put right into the rapids, If I recall I heard there were about 30 small punctures in the floats. Smooth move since there was about 2 miles of river before the rapids. Was this accident similar?

No it wasn't similar. The dumbass this year dug a float on glass and cartwheeled it I heard. Moron.

Easy flier.....never shit on your brothers....unless he's an asshole and even then a bit of compassion may be in order.

Hey flier, before you shit on somebody, you better know every detail. A comment like that implies you are a great pilot who has never made even a simple mistake. If you think you're a great "flier" just remember all the "great" pilots are dead. Just ask anyone who ever talks about them.

It didn't cartwheel and I heard there was not much damage. Just a rookie mistake.

and it wasn't Transwest's beaver....it's owned by Scott Lake Lodge....operated by Transwest....and now they won't let Scott Lake get another plane in to help out with the fly outs....wtf!?!?

Nobody hurt, just some bent floats. Didn't cart wheel. Supposedly dug a float on a glassy water landing and veered hard into one of the shorelines. Sucks. But shit happens to the best of us. I'm prettty sure I know the pilot and he's a hell of a nice guy and damn hard worker. Hope he's doin ok.
