Looks like they threw a 777 back end on.

Oh no, it an airbus ass end alright... Must be the angle of the photo above.

Even then I'd say the 777 has an MD-80 tail on her.

The 787, 350, Cs series, Sukhoi....
they all seem to be adopting the same windshield design.
not that I dont like it, its awesome looking.....but the edge on style is squashed when everyone uses it!

Should make for a much quieter cockpit, not having that sharp angle where the nose met the base of the front windows as in the 707/27/37.
I expected the 777 to be much quieter than it actually is, as it has the cockpit windows at a more-sloped angle although not to the degree that the 787 achieved and now the A350 appears to use as well.
As measured by my decibel app, the 777 is 88 decibels just sitting at the gate with the engines shutdown, all of it equipment cooling and air conditioning. So noisy, cannot hear the engines start but can feel them rumble into life.
Always liked the nose of the Comet. If they could do it in the Late Fourties, why did it take so long to come back to it?

Not far, eh? Give me a break. I don't want to start another debate about this but please enlighten us with how close they are to accomplishing that in civil aviation? The A350 hasn't even had its first flight yet and it is a two crew airliner destined for decades of service.
