Find a flight school that issues the study guide booklet.

You need to know what a pan pan is and the ICAO phonetic alphabet. Knowing things such as, roger, wilco, the emergency frequency, etc. would be good.

Thanks both of you. I do have the study guide ( you can even get it on TC website) no worries about that. Just need some questions to practice. If any body done the test in past and remember some questions or know any link which has 20 or so multiple questions etc please PM me if you don't want to reply here.
Thanks again.

Questions I ask:

1) recite the ICAO phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo ...)

2) what is special about 121.5 Mhz? 243 Mhz? 406 Mhz?

3) tell me what you would say on the radio at an uncontrolled
airport to
- backtrack
- take off
- on downwind
- on final
- clear the runway

4) when do you need a ROC-A?

5) what government department has authority
for transmitting on a VHF comm radio?

6) what kind of language should not be on the radio?

7) how do you know when a radio is transmitting?

8) what problems are associated with a stuck
microphone button?

9) why will I hunt you down and kill you if you say,
"All conflicting traffic, please advise Cessna Foxtrot
Alpha Bravo Charlie on one two two point eight."

Also; please dont tell everyone on 126.7 where you were "last off someplace" especially whem your departure aiport is 200 miles away. Just say ## miles and direction in relation to your destnation aiport, or transient airport.

Try not to use 126.7 ever, for anything.

What a garbage frequency.

Oh my goodness gosh. The person who asked for the questions 3 days after you typed them out. I bet they are a commercial pilot working somewhere.

1. Do I get bonus points for adding "now I now my alfa bravo sharlies, next time won't you sing with me?"
2. 121.5 Mhz is about 2.47 m wavelength; 243 MHz is half that, and 406 MHz is 74 cm. If you were following a geometric sequence, you should have used 486 MHz instead.
3. Its uncontrolled, so why would I even bother turning on my radio? I would just fire up and blast off.
4. When you get ramp checked
5. Any department that holds an ROC-A?
6. French. Drives me fu<king crazy!
7. You feel pressure on your tinfoil hat?
8. Everyone gets to hear about your dirty laundry.
9. Because you forgot to mention the flight rules your were operating under, the frequency you were monitoring on comm 2, the geographic area in which you were operating, and should have used "Day-See-Mall" rather than "point" in the frequency.

So do I pass?
