Anyone in the Hamilton area want to do a good deed?
Here's a link to a story about one unlucky kid.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/ ... -1.2750735
He sounds like he's a bit of an aviation nut, I was wondering if there was anyone over that way that could connect him with some facet of our industry?
I hope there's someone that can help him, I'd happily donate $100 for some fuel if someone can line up a flight for the fella.

Re: Anyone in the Hamilton area want to do a good deed?
I was going to say we need to hurry to find someone to volunteer before the, "You're stealing jobs." talk starts, but as I read the article I started wondering how much risk there might be in taking him for an airplane ride?
He gained weight going from 24 pounds up to thirty some.
His blood pressure went up to 200+ on Family day.
Hate to be a downer but, he sounds pretty fragile. What about finding a really good sim for him to fly in?
I don't know, it's possible breaking him in an airplane might be worth it. I know in the past airplanes were a favorite for me by a pretty fair margin.
Seems like something WestJet might want help out with for publicity.

Hey, probably can't hurt gifting him the fam-flight certificate via the mail to start off the gesture. I've purchased a number of them over the years for others who I knew were contemplating flying (as Devin seems to be) here at the local flying club at CYSN .. located only 30nm EAST of Hamilton. They're around $75, and can always be cashed it in towards a short sightseeing flight over Niagara Falls ..

All solid ideas and I appreciate your concerns Pop n Fresh, it doesn't even have to be as a pilot, a tour through a busy AMO would be another option, if someone could line that up, I'll PayPal you some money to buy coffee and donuts for the guys on the floor.
I'm a bit out of the loop here in SK but willing to help however I can.

We know NavCanada monitors this forum, how about a tour of London FIC or Toronto Centre or both? Let him talk to a pilot on the telephone at the FIC? Hell I bet there'd be a line up of pilots willing to come into an FIC to talk to the young lad. Costs nothing and is absolutely safe.

I could jump on board also... Unsure about the actual flying part, but Ufly has a nice 777 sim, and so does threshold with that 737 sim. Both places take gift cards...

If the kid is that crazy about airplanes, sounds like he's overdue for a young eagles ride. As for the health risks:
