English to French
hey everyone,
I have alot of time on my hands this summer, and decided I'd like to learn abit of french. I picked up a book "French the Easy Way". but it doesn't really seem to explain any of the grammer and rules etc. It is just filled with a bunch of exercise. I'm finding it abit difficult to learn anything with out a tutur. Just wondering if anyone knows of any good books or cds etc. in mind that can help me out
thanks

i think i used that book in french immersion in grade school, is it a blue cover? anyways yea its mostly for writing exercises, you kind of need to learn the writing basics to understand the structure when reading. you'll know how to properly sound the words and make sentences that make sense. sometimes i feel french is ass backwards to english, so its really not that hard to learn

hey,
Now, if you want to get in the game of learning french, start with a grammar book. I don't remember a particular one since my schooling days are way back. But if you want a book for learning all the verbs (regular and irregular) buy the Bescherelle. Lots of fun man...

An other fun way is to listen to a lot of french music with the lyrics in hand...It's impresssive how much vocabulary you'll learn...
...Or simply go Google and type «learn french online» etc...
Lots of ressources out there...
But if it's «québécois» you want to learn...well, there's always Elvis Gratton ...But good luck !!
