Paper strips vs electronic strips
Since most FSS stations are using electronic strips, any plans for ACCs to do the same thing? Are electronic strips only for larger airspaces - Arrivals/Departures?
Re: Paper strips vs electronic strips
I thought every ACC but Vancouver had already gone to electronic strips.

Here in YUL all low level sectors and all three TCU's are EFS. I believe there is only a high level sub unit yet to transition to EFS though I may be wrong.

YYZ Terminal (Arrivals and Departures) use electronic strips, but the rest of sectors in the control centre use paper strips.
Re: Paper strips vs electronic strips
A large specialty in Edmonton is still using paper strips, for the time being. Another specialty uses them intermittently, or some hybrid of paper and electronic... not exactly sure.ahramin wrote:I thought every ACC but Vancouver had already gone to electronic strips.

In the generic tower course we're just briefly looking at paper strips. Seems it's all electronic for towers. Makes coordination with terminal smoother.
