I am starting this thread so we can share information about Nav Canada's recruitment in Montreal.

The assessment session is scheduled for August 2017, but the date is not confirmed.

I have so many questions about the recruitment and training, and I am sure you all do as well.

I hope we can make it through to this exciting career together.

I did my assesment in January 2017 for YUL. I'm waiting for my second interview since February...

I was told they send invitations to selected candidates 2-3 weeks prior to the session date, which is not yet determined.
@marcoconut, what date was your assessment in January? I think I may have missed it by a few days... how was the session? Lots of people?

There were 2 groups. January 23rd in english and January 24th in french. I did mine in french. I received the invitation December 21st. In my group, we were 20.

As you know i'm in line for the 2nd interview since july 2016

marcoconut and flymaltaise, you've been waiting for so long. It must be frustrating. Once they start the recruitment process, they should complete it as soon as possible so that people can plan their future.

For the assessment session, did they send you the invitation by email?

You are applying for a job. The employer needs changes constantly and even if they finished everyone's recruitment process as quickly as possible you would still end up waiting in a pool of candidates waiting for a training spot without any guarantee of being selected.. I know it's frustrating to wait but it's life. Like anything in life nothing is done until it's done and you should plan your life accordingly.

They will send you an email with all the information for the assessment.

For the waiting, it's a part of the process and I have no control on that. I can only hope that I did well enough during my assessment and phone interview to get a call for the second interview.

Anyone heard anything?

The assessment session dates for the Montreal region have just been posted: September 13 & 14th.
Did anybody get invited? I haven't received any emails.

I just saw it's been updated. I'm hoping to get a call/email! Let me know if you hear anything pls.
