So we fly in and out of CYUL alot and they tend to put the following on the ATIS often:

Temp 08/DEW POINT WILL BE GIVEN BY ATC...

Why?

Because they probably had an update to their automated ATIS. When we in YEG got our last update, it changed slightly how our special weathers (the non hourly updates) were automaticlly put in the machine. We generally do not get a dewpoint now on our special weathers, so we have to manually input it into the ATIS, as well as the term SPECI to get the ATIS to say SPECIAL WEATHER as opposed to just WEATHER. The absence of the dewpoint in the ATIS machine automaticlly makes the ATIS say that we will issue it. This is an annoyance to us, and to you pilots as well.
