A few questions about NAV CAN's application process
Hi everyone,
I've been thinking about doing the online tests for a while now but I've got a few questions.
What are the odds of being selected for training at a tower? It seems that everyone who's selected in the YUL area gets offered the center.
I've got 5 years tower experience (not NAV CAN) and quite frankly am not interested in working at a control center.
Has anyone ever been offered VFR training in the Montreal area? (YUL/YOW/YQB/YHU etc.)
Thanks

Hi ATCer,
From what I've heard, even if you're placed in a IFR pool you should get offered VFR courses.
They currently have operational needs for some towers in the Montreal FIR.
Cheers

To give you an idea :
For the courses starting in YUL in May 2014, 6 IFR Terminal, 8 IFR En-Route, 3 VFR.
