|Position: Apprentice AME
Reports To: YVR Mtx Base Manager / Duty Manager
Shift Days/Hours: Mon - Sun - Rotating shifts
Primary Objective of the Position:
To assist with aircraft troubleshooting duties as requested by the YVR Base Manager or Duty Managers ensuring duties are performed in accordance with Cargojet’s MCM/MPM manual & Technical documentation
Essential Position Functions:
Assist with the maintenance of aircraft as established with Cargojet’s MCM/MPM & Technical documentation.
Complete all necessary maintenance forms and paperwork.
Knowledgeable with all company and government manuals/documents pertaining to their work.
Report unserviceable equipment.
Report all SDR (Service Difficulty Report) findings to the YHM Base Manager / Duty Managers.
Proactive approach to discern impending failure modes.
Knowledgeable with all company and government manuals / documents pertaining to their work.
Keep work area clean and neat at all times.
Performing any other related duties assigned, incidental to the work described herein.
Post-Secondary Aircraft Technical Training (Certification required)
B727 / 757 / 767 experience an asset
Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to use computers - Word, Excel
Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work well under pressure and prioritize workloads in a high-pressure environment.
