Pacific Coastal Airlines is looking for a temporary full-time (Sept 2017 - Jan 2019) Stores Clerk. This position is based out of a hangar located near the South Terminal building at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.

The Stores Clerk reports to the Stores Supervisor and is a key member of the Maintenance department. Their key responsibilities include purchasing and maintaining of aeronautical products and consumable stock for Pacific Coastal Airlines.

The ideal candidate for this position has a previous airline industry and purchasing or warehouse experience. Excellent attention to details and time management skills are required as well as strong communication skills and the ability to interact with other departments, employees and supervisors.

Ensure all consumables used on company aircraft are properly identified and certified
Purchase, order, send, receive, and track consumables items and follow up on repairs
Ensure that all goods received are in their original intended form and have not sustained damage during shipment
Ensure product shipments are done in a timely and cost-effective manner
Identify reasonable stock level, review it on regular basis, prevent over-stocking and re-order products when necessary
File reports and work orders on daily basis
Approve invoices when required
Report any parts defects that may require SDR action to the Stores Supervisor
Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner
Maintain a clean and secure quarantine area
Carry out inventory counts on an annual basis
Maintain safe, secure and healthy work place
Perform duties in accordance with established company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned


[b]Education & Experience
Purchasing or general warehousing experience
1 year or more experience in the airline industry
Clear understanding of pertinent CARs regulations and standards
Familiar with MSM, Mfg's AMM's and CARs 625
Knowledge of aircraft components is an asset
Experience in sales is an asset
Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Excellent communications skills (written and oral)
Intermediate technical skills in (Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Must be able to lift 50lbs
