As a pilot flying for Air Georgian the B1900 Captain is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft while providing customer service and giving on-time performance due consideration. The B1900 Captain has primary responsibility for the flight. The B1900 Captain is responsible to the 704 Chief Pilot.

B1900 Job Description
•Responsible for the acquisition, renewal and extension of a flight crew license or rating;
•Must participate in recurrent training programs including dangerous goods training certificate, Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC), Instrument Flight Rating etc.
•Conduct pre-flight checks including pre-flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met
•Ensure all the engines, systems and on-board safety and navigation equipment are in working;
•Ensure fuel supply is adequate, studying the routes, weather reports and schedules for arrivals and departures in order to prepare detailed flight plan and submit plan to air traffic control prior to departure;
•Conduct in-flight tests and monitor functioning of aircraft equipment and systems during flights, maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and respond to and report in-flight emergencies and malfunctions
•Co-ordinate flight activities with ground crews and air-traffic control, inform crew members of flight and test procedures and direct activities of aircraft crew during flights
•Check flight data and be prepared to make adjustments as necessary to prepare for, minimize and whenever possible avoid delays;
•Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions and other information
•Prepare flight evaluation reports;
•Follow all CARs and well as Air Georgian Limited Policies and Procedures;
•Any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the 704 Chief Pilot.
B1900 Captain Job Requirements
• 2500 Hours Total Time
• 500 Multi
• Must hold Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and TC Category I Medical Certificate
• Group I IFR
• Able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance
• Willing to relocate to YYC or YYZ
• legally entitled to work in Canada
• Able to operate airline aircraft within USA without restriction (Supporting documents required)
• Aviation diploma/degree would be an asset
