North-Wright Airways is looking for a Chief Pilot in Norman Wells, Northwest Territories.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
developing standard operating procedures;
developing or implementing all required approved training programs for the Company’s pilots;
issuing directives and notices to the pilots as required;
the supervision of pilots;
briefing and training Pilots on their responsibilities and duties (refer to the Training Programs Manual for a description of the briefing requirements);
training the employee assigned to review the training records on the procedures to be used to review the training records; and,
assuming any responsibilities delegated by the Operations Manager.
hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (Aeroplane);
hold a valid Group 1 Instrument Rating;
hold a type rating for at least one of the types of aeroplanes operated;
have at least 3 years’ experience as Captain of a commuter aeroplane;
be qualified in accordance with the Company training program to act as a Captain on one of the 704 type aeroplanes operated (if applicable); and,
demonstrate knowledge to Transport Canada with respect to the content of the Company Operations Manual, Training Programs Manual, SOPs, Approved Check Pilot Manual and the provisions of the Regulations and Standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
College Diploma on Aviation is an asset
must have effective leadership qualities, organized and able to mentor his subordinates when needed.
The Chief Pilot’s personal record in relation to aviation shall not include:
any conviction under Subsection 7.3(1) of the Aeronautics Act; or,
2 or more convictions, occurring during separate unrelated events, under the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
