TITLE: AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE
HOURS: FULL TIME- 4 DAYS ON, 4 DAYS OFF
START DATE: MARCH 1st
PURPOSE OF POSITION/MISSION STATEMENT:
As part of the Alkan Air team, you will work directly with the maintenance staff to provide quality aircraft maintenance. This will consist mainly of, but not be limited to; repairs, modifications, and inspections on all our company aircraft structures, systems and equipment.
Valid Transport Canada M1 or M1/M2 AME Licence
Keeps a well groomed appearance.
Arrives to work in a timely manner and is dependable.
Ability to work a variety of shifts to support our 24/7 operation, incl. on-call shifts
Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in high pressure and time sensitive situations.
Positive attitude and team oriented.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
Self-motivated with a solutions-focused approach to challenges and opportunities.
Requests vacation/personal time off in a timely manner.
Develop competencies in the following areas:
Perform and ensure proper completion of all maintenance activities related to aircraft at main– and sub bases and occasionally outside in the field during all seasons
Ensure all components installed on aircrafts are properly certified.
Ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate
Carry out duties and ensure conformity to Transport Canada Regulatory standards
Diagnostically troubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective action
Dismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and overhaul
Remove, install and functionally test aircraft components
Ability to interpret blueprints and written technical data/instructions
Work in confined spaces and elevated heights when required
Adhere to and participate in the Safety and Quality Management System
Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times
Attend training courses as directed by company Management
All other related duties as assigned by Management
You accept direction and supervision from the DOM and his delegates
Perform non aircraft maintenance tasks as assigned
