Sander Geophysics(SGL) specializes in high-resolution airborne geophysical surveys for petroleum and mineral exploration, as well as geological and environmental mapping. The company carries out airborne gravity, magnetic, electromagnetic, and radiometric surveys, using fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.
We are hiring a Fixed-Wing AME who would travel for rotational field work around the world and can be based anywhere in Canada. Our fleet includes C208 Caravans, DHC-6 Twin Otter, BN2 Islanders, DA42 Twin Star and AS350 helicopters.
Responsibilities of the Position
- Maintain the company aircraft at various field locations;
Carry out maintenance tasks as directed in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual and Transport Canada regulations, within the scope of license, capabilities, and authority;
Confer with the Maintenance Manager(s) and Field Crew Chief to identify aircraft, shop and field maintenance issues and to discuss maintenance requirements and problems;
Assist as required to ensure the timely completion of Company, Customer & Regulatory Audits; and
Ensure a safe working environment while maintaining a positive attitude toward personal and professional growth.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an “M1” license;
Experience on C208 and DHC-6 aircraft a definite asset;
Knowledgeable understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations;
Willingness to travel on short notice and for extended periods;
Valid passport and driver's license;
Ability to obtain Transport Canada restricted area pass; and
Available to work after-hours occasionally as required.
