Courseware Developer (Sensor Operator)
Fixed Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) Program

PAL Aerospace is currently seeking two experienced Sensor Operators to support the initial development of courseware and training modules for Aircrew training for the C295 FWSAR program. The Courseware Developer location is flexible and can be based in St. John’s, NL or Halifax, NS. Following the completion of the initial courseware development, the developers will have opportunities to transition to Aircrew positions supporting other mission roles or in the training development department.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Become familiar with the Training Documentation such as the Job Task Analysis Report (JTAR) and the corresponding Qualification Standard (QS) Performance
-Objectives (PO’s) and the Training Plan (TP) Enabling Objectives (EO’s)
-Become Familiar with best practices, processes specific to storyboarding on the FWSAR program
-Review each Module Outline to determine required content for each module
-Gather all required material from stated references into the storyboard
-Organize module content into topics
-Edit all text in each module for writing standards and good instructional flow as per FWSAR Courseware Style Guide
-Edit and flesh out Instructor screens and add prompts
-Add media descriptions and applicable screen captures
-Review content and add Confirmation Questions based on teaching points and critical points in the each module
-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
-Sensor Operator or Mission Commander (AESOp or ACSO equivalent) background with military ISR operational experience
-Experience operating airborne search radar and EO/IR device in a multi-crew environment
-Multimode radar knowledge including:
-Theoretical radar principles;
-Variety of Search modes;
-Radar interpretation;
-Radar imaging modes;
-EO/IR systems knowledge including:
-EO/IR principles;
-Digital imagery;
-EO/IR operation;
-Mission Management System operation to include:
-Flight planning requirements;
-SAR operational planning experience; and
-Communications
-Must have a strong understanding of CFITE principles
-Must have a minimum of TDC 1 instructor qualification
-Should have a Flight Instructor Qualification (FIQ) B Category
-Minimum (1) year sensor operator flight instruction experience
-Experience in flight instruction program design and delivery
-Proficient with Microsoft suite products
-Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work with diverse team members
-Must be able to obtain the required security and controlled facilities clearance as per ITAR regulations
