Providing an uninterrupted flow of materials, supplies and services as well as contributing to the management of inventories.
Purchasing maintenance, repair and operating items.
Purchase order administration including requisitions, invoices, warranties, maintaining closed orders and other related activities.
Placement of repair orders including vendor selection, estimate approvals, and exchange option evaluation.
Resolution of procurement issues with suppliers including concerns about quality, pricing and logistics.
Receiving and inspecting incoming material as required.
Providing on call coverage as directed to respond to Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations and/or any department requests that may arise.
Ensuring a clean and organized environment for the Stores Department and quarantine areas.
High School diploma.
Certified Professional Purchaser (C.P.P) accreditation or equivalent / Certificate in Purchasing / Parts Management Technician Certificate are considered assets.
3-5 years of purchasing experience
Experience in the aviation and transportation industries would be an asset
Solid, team player
Computer proficiency complimented with the ability to work with various buying and inventory systems
Superior organizational and communication skills both verbal and written
Detail oriented along with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to adapt quickly to change and urgent requests
