Position: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 - Licensed preferred
Wage: Commensurate with experience,
Group Insurance Plan: Yes, including health and dental
Schedule: Permanent full-time (8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday), seasonal on-call, some weekend
Start Date: Immediately, but can be negotiable

Job Description
Brandon Flight Centre safely and proudly serves customers mainly from Manitoba and Saskatchewan. We are seeking a knowledgeable, hard-working, trustworthy and experienced team playing individual to take an active role in our day to day maintenance activities. We are a small not-for-profit business that also employ and groom apprentices to become an AME.

Primary Responsibilities
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer position is primarily responsible for:
• Conducting planned and unplanned maintenance procedures on our fleet of aircraft as well as customer (Commercial and private aircraft) in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and company procedures, including but not limited to:
o Perform and document inspection of engines, structural, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
o Troubleshoot structural, mechanical, hydraulic and engines to identify and repair defects
o Perform and document landing gear configuration changes between wheels, floats, skis
o Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, instructions, etc.
o Repairs and general maintenance, including sheet metal and structures
o Inspecting, servicing and maintaining spare parts inventory
o Assisting with the general maintenance and servicing of hangar equipment and facilities
o Maintaining an organized, clean and safe hangar environment
o Assist Director of Maintenance with General duties

Qualifications and Desired Attributes
o Canadian AME-M1 license
o Experience working with Ag aircraft an asset (piston and turbine)
o Experience working with sheet metal / structures / avionics an asset
o Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license
o Must be competent and efficient at working either in a team or independently without direct supervision
o Strong communication skills, both oral and written
o Necessary tools
o Good attitude in dealing with co-workers and customers
o As we are a learning facility, must also have patience to guide and educate apprentices
