The Ministry of Environment requires a Production Supervisor for Aviation Operations, headquartered in La Ronge, SK. Under the direction of the Chief Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, this position will plan, organize and supervise operational aircraft maintenance in the hangar and in the field, leading their teams to perform inspections on airframes, engines, electrical, hydraulic and instrumentation systems on a fleet of 14 firefighting aircrafts including CL 215T’s, CL 215’s, CV 580A’s, Twin Commanders and Barons. You will assess deficiencies and repair or replace components in accordance with Transport Canada's approval standards.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance activities, quality control and personnel scheduling of all maintenance staff. Strong supervisory and operations planning will be required to direct maintenance crews and keep aircrafts on schedule and within budget. The successful candidate will have knowledge of maintenance and repair standards as outlined by CARS and Federal Aviation Administration Regulations and Transport Canada Airworthiness Directives including Service Bulletins. The ability to conduct scheduled inspections and diagnose equipment and aircraft problems through close observation and various tests and conduct necessary repairs and maintenance of aircraft and equipment to restore operations will be critical to the success of this position.
To qualify for this position, you will possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 & M2 license supplemented with related supervisory, field and aircraft type experience. This position may be required to travel and work outside of the designated fire bases during the fire season.
Salary: $35.654 - $43.380 (hourly)
