Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
Ottawa, ON, Canada
•Full-time

CGG Aviation (Canada) Limited, based in Ottawa, provides specialty services in remote sensing, worldwide, using specially modified survey aircraft.
We are currently looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, interested in travel, to join our operation.
We currently operate a Cessna 208B, Grand Caravan and a Basler DC-3T.

Job Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for carrying out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and modifications, both in Ottawa and in field locations, as established by the Director of Maintenance (DOM). The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer works on a rotational schedule to maintain company aircraft. All work undertaken must be done with due regard to safety at all times. Residence in Ottawa is not a requirement.

Main accountabilities include Maintenance, Inventory Control, and Safety.

ENVIRONMENT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES:

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer works under pressure in a highly flexible environment with constant changes in priorities and challenging deadlines. He/she can spend up to 8 months per year in the field. Rotations are somewhat flexible to accommodate personal requirements when possible.

Qualifications

•Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence, suitably endorsed
•M1/M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence
•Experience on similar aircraft types, an asset
•General aviation experience, an asset
•Ability to read/write English
•Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•Radio license, an asset
