Who you are:
The role of Stores & Inventory Lead will be the accountable individual for all purchasing and inventory control activities on the assigned shift. You will support all maintenance activities in Toronto and act as a single point of escalation on shift for material and tooling needs in all bases. With extensive knowledge of inventory control, handling processes, and operational activities, you are able to set priorities and organize the workload with confidence. You are a natural leader, and able to direct teams with your strong interpersonal skills. You take pride in a meticulously maintained stores environment and accuracy of system inventory to physical. With multiple priorities, demands and varying timelines, you thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Stores & Inventory Leads will focus on:
Management: You are a mentor and trainer to the inventory control technicians, providing training and guidance in situations at hand to enhance knowledge maximize positive outcomes. You exhibit the expected behaviors -attention to detail, organization, teamwork and collaboration- and work to continually motivate staff and engage employees.
Operational Activities: You will oversee all operational activities involving materials and tools on assigned shift to support heavy and line maintenance. You will ensure the quality and accuracy of inventory received and issued during your shift.
What you bring:
Education: You possess a high school diploma.
Experience: You possess 1-2 years managerial / supervisory experience. You possess 3-5 years of aviation-related work experience. You have knowledge of aircraft parts and proper handling processes. Experience with TRAX or similar ERP system an asset.
Communication: You possess strong interpersonal skills and are able to engage people. You are comfortable leading others and can adapt with ease in a rapidly changing environment.
Other: You have a sound knowledge of computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and can learn new technologies quickly. You possess a valid G class driver’s license and can successfully pass a background check required to attain and maintain a Transport Canada Clearance (RAIC).
