KF Aerospace is proud to deliver innovative aircraft solutions for corporate, commercial and military customers worldwide. Launched 50 years ago out of Canada’s Okanagan Valley, KF has grown to specialize in a wide range of aviation services including maintenance and modifications, air cargo operations, military pilot training and aircraft leasing. At our facility in Southport, Manitoba, we support the Royal Canadian Airforce (RCAF) by providing state-of-the-art Pilot training.

JOB OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated and experienced professionals is now available! Our Southport facility supports Grob G120A and C-90 King Air aircraft. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical) perform line and heavy maintenance and repairs. They are expected to demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and safety in performing the following tasks:
• Identify, obtain, use, and test appropriate tools for the jobs required
• Complete daily inspections
• Operate all ground equipment
• Remove and install flight controls, engine components, propellers, landing gear, and tires
• Functional operation of the aircraft and ability to perform run-ups
• Perform rigging of engine and flight controls
• Perform non-critical systems checks (i.e. oxygen, fuel)
• Use trouble-shooting skills and information from customers to identify and locate problems
• Apply a thorough understanding of systems: air-conditioning, hydraulics, engines, flight controls, landing gear, avionics, electrical generation, oxygen, fuel and pneumatics
• Able to locate and correctly read applicable wiring and follow Standard Wiring Practices
• Ensure all aircraft maintenance is carried out in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations Transport Canada rules and regulations, type specific manuals, and the KF Aerospace Policy and Procedures Manual so that continuing airworthiness of the aircraft is maintained

Customer Service
Our AMEs take initiative to provide the best possible service to internal and external customers and demonstrate the following:
• Ensure work is being done in a quick, efficient, and professional manner
• Ensure that follow up with customers is completed as required
• Communicate with vendors/customers in a professional and respectful manner
• Assist Instructors and Students as required

Safety
AMEs apply safe work practices in all job duties, including:
• Wearing all appropriate PPE (personal protection equipment)
• Understanding and supporting KF Aerospace SMS program as well as the Flight Safety program
• Maintaining good housekeeping and cleanliness standards
• Understanding and applying safe handling practices with all aircraft and towing equipment

Documentation
AMEs conscientiously attend to the following tasks:
• Source required technical information in maintenance manuals in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure appropriate, accurate, and legible completion of the technical logs and sign off in a timely fashion
• Ensure documentation is submitted to senior AME or Crew Chief for ACA approval if applicable

REQUIREMENTS
• Valid Transport Canada AME –M License (candidates near licensing may be considered)
• Ability and willingness to attain type endorsement
• Valid passport (or ability to attain) and driver’s license
• Ability to travel
• Grade 12 education or higher
• Ability to work rotational shifts including evenings and Saturdays’
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Physically fit and able to pass pre-employment medical exam
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and wiliness to learn
