Perimeter Aviation and Bearskin Airlines were independently founded by Bill J. Wehrle and John Hegland in the 1960s. Both airlines were acquired by Exchange Income Corporation (TSX:EIF) in 2004 and 2011 respectively. During 2018, Perimeter Aviation and Bearskin Airlines joined forces to strengthen and enhance our combined company, bringing our employee complement to 800 people. Perimeter Aviation continues to operate the Bearskin Airlines brand of service, delivering scheduled passenger and cargo services across Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario. We also provide Aeromed air ambulance services throughout Northern Manitoba and custom chartered flights to any destination in North America.

The primary responsibilities of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) include, but are not limited to the servicing, inspecting, repairing and performing mechanical maintenance to aircraft before it is considered serviceable.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position is responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft
Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
Marshaling and towing aircraft
Reconfiguring aircraft interiors from passenger to cargo to medevac
Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Work as indicated by supervisor.
Education and Experience
Completion of a Ministry of Transportation approved/accredited Aircraft Maintenance Program
2-4 years of experience working as an apprentice AME is preferred
Verbal and written skills
Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to qualify for WAA (Winnipeg Airport Authority Security clearance) for Winnipeg base
Aboriginal Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity Training
Work in a shop environment with full range of movement (flexibility) required
Extended periods of standing, crouching, and kneeling in an aircraft, and in aircraft work in crouched and confining positions
Periods of heavy lifting up to a maximum of 100lbs
7 ON/7 OFF
This position has the potential of either day (6AM - 6 PM or 12 AM to 12 PM) or night (6PM to 6AM or 12 PM to 12 AM) shift as required
