Position Summary:
The Flight Scheduler assists with the management of the flight line for the Honors Bachelor of Aviation Technology program by creating the daily flight schedule in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures while ensuring a safe and efficient use of resources.

Responsibilities:
Scheduling Build and monitor student flight schedules on a daily basis using FlightLogger with a focus on safe, quality and effective use of aircraft, simulators, and flight instructors in consultation with the Head of Scheduling and Dispatch;
Build and maintain monthly schedules for student positions including Dispatch, Flight Following, and Ramp.
Coordinate and communicate student schedules including vacation time and days off.
Coordinate with Duty Instructor, Ramp, and Dispatch to manage daily scheduling issues;
Ensure schedules comply with all Policies, Procedures, and Regulations.
Input class schedules, meetings, etc. into scheduling software as required.
Liaise with Flight Instructors to ensure efficient scheduling of students.

Auditing and Reporting
Review and manage pilot certificate warnings such as crew qualifications, training records, and other information;
Assist with daily reporting and tracking as required;
Conduct system audits and compiles data as required;

Other

Present scheduling, time-off, and system tutorials to new flight instructors and students as required.

Qualifications:

Education

Minimum two (2) year diploma in Aviation or aviation-related field preferred.
Familiar with Flight Training environment and terminology.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year in aviation or scheduling environment preferred.

Skills

High level of time management and ability to work independently, take initiative and multitask.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills: verbal and written.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
