Be thoroughly familiar with safety requirements and practice safe work habits
Assist in maintaining aircraft electronic systems and equipment, including communications and navigation equipment
Assist in inspecting and testing aircraft electrical and avionics related systems
Assist in diagnosing electrical malfunctions or other related problems in the aircraft as per technical manuals, drawings or blueprints
Assist in the assembly and/or installation of replacement electronic components as per technical manuals, drawings or blueprints
Report problems to Engineers so action can be taken to rectify them, maintaining an accurate record of the maintenance history of the aircraft
Other related duties as assigned.
Ability to refer to and follow technical manuals, written in terse abbreviated language
Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Diagnostic skills requiring sound knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
A good understanding of CAR’s an asset
Good literacy and numerical skills
Problem solving skills are critical in handling challenging and complex aircraft system snags
Good communication skills required, both verbal and written
Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Sunwest’s Safety Management System manual.
