Candidate will act as chief pilot for the new wheel division of Excellent Adventures. Currently running a VFR Domestic Floatplane Charter Service and now VFR Wheeled operation with plans to commence IFR operations within the next 6 months. Eligible candidates will have to meet Transport Canada requirements to act as chief pilot for the VFR wheeled aircraft immediately.

1500 hours total time with 500 MPIC, including 250 within the preceding 3 years on a PA31 or similar type of the same category and class.
Commercial Pilot License
Experience on type an asset
Float time an asset but not necessary
Group 1 or 3 Instrument Rating an asset or able to re-new over next 2 months if not valid.
Category 1 Medical Certificate
Ability to obtain an airport Restricted Area Identity Card
Passport and Provincial Driver’s License
Ability to pass the Chief Pilot examination with TC for our company.
Chief Pilot Responsibilities:
To ensure the standards of Pilot training meet Transport Canada and Company requirements;
The appointment and supervision of training and check pilots and to ensure duties are conducted in accordance with the Pilot Training Manual (PTM);
To ensure the required competency of new Pilots;
To ascertain the operational suitability and requirements of all aerodromes and routes served by the Company;
The issuance of directives and notices to Flight Crews, as required;
The development of examinations required to test the knowledge of Flight Crew personnel;
The professional standards of the Flight Crews under his authority;
The administration and maintenance of the Flight Crew licensing, qualification and record keeping requirements;
Continued maintenance of the Aircraft Operations Manual (AOM), the Pilot Training Manual (PTM) and the Minimum Equipment List (MEL);
The processing and actioning of Incident Hazard Reports (IHRs), as they relate to piloting issues;
To liaise with the Senior Leader - Inflight on matters pertaining to operational issues involving cabin safety;
The implementation of corrective action(s) to eliminate/reduce the root cause(s) or probably causes(s) of hazards, incidents and accidents, identified under the Safety Management System (SMS);
Liaise with external agencies which may affect training and standards.
