Propeller Technician position

Western Propeller Ltd is a leading MRO and parts distribution company headquartered in Richmond, BC. We have been family owned and operated since 1947, and we are looking to add an Aircraft Component Technician to our fantastic team of dedicated employees. This is a full time role in our maintenance department reporting to the Director of Maintenance. In this position there is significant advancement potential based on your abilities and attitude. You will be trained in all aspects of the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft propellers including disassembly, processing, troubleshooting, inspection, repair and assembly. Our current capabilities list includes propellers, governors (primary & overspeed) and wheels and brakes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Disassembly, processing, maintenance, assembly, troubleshooting and repair of aircraft components
Accurately completing required paperwork with respect to the applicable aircraft components in accordance with Airworthiness Certification Authority and company manuals
Ensuring the company’s best interest is maintained in accordance with the maintenance policy manual, quality control procedures manual and company handbook. Other duties as requested by supervisors

Mechanical aptitude & experience necessary.
Successful completion of an approved AME program considered an asset
Prior experience with aircraft component overhaul considered an asset
Be able to read and understand technical data and component maintenance manuals
Ability to think logically and to know your own limitations in training or abilities
Strong observational, decision-making and time management skills
Ability to collaborate with fellow technicians & follow instructions, both written and verbal
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be able to pass a criminal record check
Steel toed boots and PPE must be used at all times

Business hours are 7:30 - 4:00 Monday through Friday.
Compensation: $18-25 based on experience & ability
