Considering a change and the possibility of crossing over to rotary from fixed wing. Anyone taken a program with them or have any info?

Hey there,

The school in Penticton is CHL(Canadian Helicopters Ltd), as CHC is the worldwide provider of mainly Offshore IFR operations. They are totally separate entities.

Doing your initial training there would be VERY expensive as they only operate the Bell206 and an Astar. While the training is second to none, I'm not sure if you have $80-90K to do it in a 206. They also offer an exceptionally good Moutain Course and other specilized training, so if you did convert, sometime down the road you may condisder going in for additional training.
