Initial purchases or leases and ongoing costly maintenance. Just find a company and work for them and give them a good work ethic, and things will work out.

The most common way of starting your own company.
Get base job with big company
Build relationship with client base.
could take years
find a person to loan a shit load of money
start your own company stealing most of the clients from old employer
don't believe me here's a short list of company's it worked for
Phoenix-heli flight
west coast heli
valley heli

Thanks for the responses.
I guess I was thinking if there was a gap in the supply and demand of helicopter services then there might be niche that could use low-timers. Something the current industry is either not doing or simply over-looking.
Sadly it appears the surplus of aviation services spans the entire aviation industry. Hopefully that changes soon for everyone. With any luck the recession will be over next quarter and things will pick up.
I'm not sure I would want to steal clients from someone as suggested . I appreciate those companies that gave me a break along the way. I know I wouldn't appreciate it if I gave someone a break only to have my clientele raided.

it a dog eat dog world. Phoenixes first aircraft was registered C-FNFU. It stands for the old bosses first/last name and F*** You. Aviation is cut throat at all levels.
