We have an immediate opening for an Occupational Health & Safety Manager and in this exciting and challenging role you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all users in the workplace and the company conforms to all government, industry, and company safety regulations and standards.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, the management, control and implementation of all applicable regulations regarding the health and safety of all company employees, customers and contractors. Oversee the Occupational Health & Safety Program including hazard recognition, and control accident and incident reporting and investigation and documentation; audit HSE programs and conditions at all work sites; identifies safety trends and establishes processes and procedures including a safety feed-back system which encourages all employees to work safely and report deficiencies, hazards and incidents.

You should possess the following skills, knowledge and experience:
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in health & safety and compliance;
•Working knowledge and experience with Transport Canada, Canada Labour Code, Labour Canada, Provincial and Territorial Worker’s Compensation, Safety Management System, regulatory processes, policies and practices;
•Demonstrated professional competence in the technical field of incident and accident investigation and in prevention is essential;
•Sharp investigative skills with a keen sense to comprehend, interpret and analyze information;
•Confident leader who is self-motivated, innovative and results-orientated;
•Exceptional communication skills with the ability to ability to recognize, access, report and provide solutions;
•Above average organizational and time-management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy and flexible environment;
•Travel to company bases is required;
•Aviation experience a definite asset.
