Converting CPLH to CPLA
Let's say a guy has a Commercial Helicopter licence, a Glider Pilots licence and a Private fixed wing licence, does anyone know what it would take to convert the CPLH to include fixed wing? I was reading about the time credits for each and I was curious how many hours I would need to do this? Not sure this is the right board to ask on but any advice is appreciated
Re: Converting CPLH to CPLA
That's a good question. I know that if you already hold cpl-h but no fixed wing license at all, you can do 100 hours of fixed wing training instead of 200 (I can't quite remember how I split solo versus dual) and go strait to cpl-a, skipping ppl-a. But if you already hold ppl-a then I'm not sure. It's all in the 421.30 standards. Come flight test day, get ready to educate your dfte that you qualify for the flight test, and ultimately, signing off your cpl-a license because they probably won't be familiar.
