Obviously without help flight would not have succeeded.
If that is true, I'm glad the "pilot" was a sim instructor and not a pilot.

Actually the toughest thing about the first time in the Boeing is trying not to laugh so hard at all the goofy shit going on. Beyond that once around the circuit is something any C172 pilot is capable of.

This is only a few of them. All planes have their quirks but these are the big ones for me.

-The autopilot disconnect on go around for anything except CAT2-3. It ditches it on arguably the most workload intensive phase of flight. Also with an alarm you can hear from 12A.

-pressurization and temperature control is terrible on the 800. Frequently have bits of 1000fpm making you look up wondering wtf?

-I've had the autopilot and the fms give me a wtf is it doing now? Moment every few months. Most recently on a HDG turn just completely blowing through it and keeping bank until a/p disconnection.

-everything you punch in the box takes a few moments to register, it's so sluggish!

-that overhead panel. Enough said.

Overall it is a nice airplane though, it just feels like dated technology and sometimes old things do weird things.

You forgot the click click, click click, clickclickclick of the trim wheel . Switches that go up for off, down for on. Spoiler handles that need to be armed just right. Warning lights divided half and half between the two sides of the flight deck. Fire handles that need to have their button pushed while being pulled.

You don’t have to push the button if the engine is on fire though.
