I can't imagine life without flying, riding and screwing - not
necessarily in that order.
I will refrain from posting more videos of any of the above

Both are relaxing and exciting in their own ways. No doubt the bike is far more of a "rush" than flying a 172 around on a VFR day, but the airplane provides me with a great deal of relaxation.
I realize I'm pretty lucky to have either hobby, let alone practice both on the same day.

Since Nark already outed me, I'll post this one too.
Landing a 172 in a 22-23 knot crosswind component takes the flying away from the relaxing side and a bit closer to the excitement side!

Over at Backcountry Pilot (http://www.backcountrypilot.org/forum/d ... spond-9817) apparently 87% of survey respondents had a bike licence in addition to their pilot licence. Not sure what that says about risk management, but I think it's easier to fly safely than ride safely, mainly because there's a lot of sharing of space going on on a bike.
Also some sweet pictures of bikes and airplanes linked to that thread.

Every once in a while, you have to take the bikes
out on the runway. It's a moral imperative:

I know this is a bit old for GoPro, but that bike has since been laid down, rather abruptly.
Billy Werth is on our seniority list, but hasn't touched the Embraer in a long while. Between airshows and Air National Guard, he's a little busy to come back and make $50/hour to fly an RJ. Can't say I blame him. Might even try to follow in his footsteps...
