Re: Up Coming Interview
There's really no such thing as being over-dressed. If you show up and feel a suit is too much, just remove the jacket...pretty simple.
A simple black/dark grey suit is always a good thing to have in the closet anyway.

A mile of road will take you a mile, but a mile of runway can take you anywhere
Re: Up Coming Interview
Yep, I have one suit, bought it at Moores for my Jazz interview and sim eval, if it still fits I'll wear it for my AC interview. If I go to a wedding, might wear it for that too.
As for Nickynick, if everyone who finds him annoying just blocks his posts, eventually he'll go away. I'm putting him on the ignore list right now and will no longer read anything to do with his whiny poor me trolling. I urge everyone to do the same:)

Re: Up Coming Interview
Well in an attempt to bring this thread to a conclusion....thank you all for the advice and words of wisdom (bar a few). The sim went well.....as I could hope for never flying a DHC8-300 before. I assume it went well as they called to set up medical, criminal background and ref call 16 hours after I left the sim. So far so good.
Again thank you all! Cheers! KP

Re: Up Coming Interview
Welcome to Jazz! Seriously though, as long as nothing shows up during your medical I would say you can expect an offer to follow shortly after that, just my guess, but I'd be optimistic at this point.

Congrats, sounds like a done deal! Feel free to pm me any time if you have any questions. Lots of stuff you just have to pick up as you go along! Welcome!
Re: Up Coming Interview
Same same! I got called 45 mins after the 'medical'. Enjoy the ride

Re: Up Coming Interview
Just courious about the experience level of those beeing interviewed right now. Seems like it has been a long time since the last update on this.
Re: Up Coming Interview
IIRC everyone in our class had over 2k and all had 2 crew experience. Some had more (myself included)

Re: Up Coming Interview
Radio, please don't listen to Nicky. I am around 2000 hours with an ATPL a little right seat time on a 727. Got another 1500 in the back seat but I don't think they care. I am interviewing this month.Radiocaster wrote:Just courious about the experience level of those beeing interviewed right now. Seems like it has been a long time since the last update on this.

Please... for the sake of everyone.... gooo awayyyy... If in some parallel universe they told you that it was because they were too polite to tell you where to stick it.NickyNick wrote:Radiocaster wrote:Just courious about the experience level of those beeing interviewed right now. From 250-3000+ from what I've heard and know. I think most are around 1200 or so. New pay may suck, but still a good company and good crews to work with.

And yet you wonder why you're not getting called or hired....NickyNick wrote:andy_mtl wrote:You can buy a fitted suit on special for under 100$
No excuses on not dressing the part in my opinion
But then to each its own.
Andy
Wasting money on a suit for a one time thing makes no sense. DIdn't your parents bring you up to value a dollar and not waste? Must be like most of the world, put er on credit card.
This is your career and you're a professional, look and act like one!!!!

Why would I be denied a position because I'm responsible with my money? Going in to debt for a suit to wear once is not good. I do not want to be grouped with all those that owe $1.65 per $1.00 made and shouldn't be denied a position.
Re: Up Coming Interview
A question, if I were to be almost 100% sure of the other user who is actually posting as their fabricated NickyNick, just to get their jollies off, what would I do? He's derailed a lot of threads, and I for one would bet that the other people flying with him would give a few raised eyebrows once they found out....

Re: Up Coming Interview
From what I've seen up until as recently as this month is the 1500-2500hr range, some M-PIC, ATPL and solid reputable pilots. The kind of guy that I'd be happy to hear "Your crew in the flight deck today is...." (If I heard NickyNick, I'd probably get off the plane, he would annoy his captain to death. ).Radiocaster wrote:Just courious about the experience level of those beeing interviewed right now. Re: Up Coming Interview
Hey guys. Congrats to those getting interviews and calls for ground school!
Anyone know if hiring is forecast to continue in the upcoming months?
Also, does anyone get hired at Jazz without multi time? Pc12 driver here...

There was something like 90 vacancies in the last bid.
