Workopolis

Post by Foo Fighter »

When I post a cover letter and preview it, the cover letter turns into one big sloppy sentence. Same goes for the resume when I copy and past it.
The neat and tidy resume and cover letter, get shifted around.

Is this a normal thing with workopolis? It doesn't look professional, and I'm hesitent to send it in.

Any suggestions, or I'm I completly computer illierate?

I realize I can't spell either.

It's best to upload your resume & coverletter as a file instead of copy and pasting.

Here's my rant for the day...

@#$! workopolis.

It's gotta be the most un-user-friendly site I've stumbled across in ages.

Nothings working.

Trying to upload a resume, and it doesn't upload.

Try to copy and paste, or write the thing out myself, preview it and it looks like shit.

@#$!

Sorry for all the swearing earlier....a little out of character for me.

I've calmed down now...relaxed...everything is Good!

The frustration got the better of me.

I'll try again in a little bit, maybe it will co-operate this time.

go to the jazz website, then click "careers" link, and there is a link to email your resume directly to HR.

So I put up my application on Workopolis a little over 2 weeks ago. It appears as though they have looked at my resume 2 times now. Should I expect more views and a call for an interview or might it end there? What happened with some of you guys?

It's a mystery. I first applied and got 6-7 views, no call. I created a new user name and started from scratch, next day 1 view, the day after that the phone rang.

Had 8 views on mine then nothing for 18mos, then call out of the blue after not updating for months. Gonna stay where I am for now. Can't take the pay cut for now.
