Jumpseating on Jazz

Post by Flyingbug »

Greetings everyone,...I fly for United Express (Trans States Airlines) in the U.S....i have been denied jumpseating twice from STL & IAD to YYZ on Jazz....even though we are ALPA and CASS members.....and being Star alliance members, i thought jumpseating should'nt be a problem...especially when we use the same gates and deal with the same united ops at number of destinations in the US....but i guess that's not the case..! just looking for a little clarification.

Also, is the Jazz pilot group CASS participant?

Sorry but your company is not on our J/S agreement list, and no, we are not a CASS participant. To set up a J/S agreement you need your J/S people to contact our J/S people.

Most guys commute on Jazz, Air Canada or with Westjet as part of a reciprical J/S agreement. There are a few exceptions to that but those are the main ones.
