Regional differences

Post by vortac »

Those FO's who have had the chance to fly West, East and Central region.. is there any difference in Skipper attitudes (laid back, uptight, pleasure to work with, respectuful)?

I found most of the cappy's out West had way better attitudes in general. Some, but certainly not all that came from Air Ontairo are very jaded because of the BS with Air Canada and other factors. That being said, there are bad apples in every bunch. It's a part of our job. Better get used to it.

Yep, A-holes are few and far between. There's a couple guys from the former AO YXU base that I found are dickheads but dont get me wrong 98% of the guys you'll fly with are great to work with.

99% of the guys/gals are great to fly with system wide.

I have flown in both the west and the east....and will say that the "atmosphere" in general is just a bit more relaxed in the West. For whatever reason there is just that little bit of tension in the air east of Winnipeg.
