Last course is next week methinks. They relax the training in the summer due to training pilots vacations and covering line fliying. Courses are supposed to start up again late August. I think if they are holding courses late August then phone calls and interviews would happen in July. IMHO. Apparently they are still going to be taking 24 people or so per month for the "foreseeable future" but that could change at any time if AC slows up its hiring too.

Huh? The word on the street is wrong. Once again, the wisdom of the street has failed us.

WestJet has another 44 airplanes arriving. It will be hard to find parking spots for those if they are not going to hire pilots to fly them.

You're probably right, I'm a bit too much of an optimist, maybe 2015.

I know a few people who've been hired with no ATPL and way less than 1500h...they just had quality hours.

By quality hours do you mean college grads?

All kidding aside, with times like they are now, I'm sure when Jazz starts to hire again they'll be able to find lots that have the qualifications they are looking for.
