No class planned for November. But this recent class did not fill all vacancies so likely there will be more hiring right around the corner in the new year. Stay tuned Stay Positive.

100 new hires this year? or what time frame? Seems like a lot given there are 1500 or so pilots at Jazz, have all these positions been created by those that have already left for AC/WJ/other carriers or is there something else happening at Jazz that should have potential candidates worried?

This came to me via someone else who was speaking to a sim instructor that they would be training that many pilots. Not sure the time frame. I heard it's a combination of retirements and those leaving to other companies. Lotsa folks leaving for AC and WJ among some others.

I heard the same from a reliable source, didn't say 100 but said lots of interviews coming, so update the resume if you're interested.

Jan 30th was 6 YYZ and 4 YUL all Classics I believe.

Hmmm .. Not a good time to be going to AC .. but I'm sure that's been said before. They have a big mess going on over there.

Where are all the q400s going to be based? And how many are on order?

All Q400's are based in YYZ. 11 operating at this time with 4 more to go. Options on 15 more however there has been no news as to whether the Company intends to exercise those options - this would affect terms of the CPA with AC. AC and Jazz don't see eye to eye on a few things these days so I don't expect to see any more Q's unless there is a significant breakthrough.

i have passed the interview and was wondering if everything goes well and i get a groundschool date is the q400 the same as the classic dash for base trade? i want calgary so i wanted to know if there are only q400 spots is that a possibility? thanks

No possibility at all. All the q's are based in Toronto for right now.
