Minimums

Post by goleafsgo »

This posting: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=78547 says "Preference will be given to applicants who posses 1500 hours total time with an ATPL, and two crew multi-engine turbine experience." So what is the minimum that Jazz would hire with?

It all depends on the pool of guys that are applying. When I was in groundschool everyone except for 1 guy had 2500TT or more and all turbine experience many in the left seat. A few courses later I saw about 800TT FO king air. That was a few years ago.

SO if you get on with 800TT, are you a right seat lifer at Jazz? Or do they do some sort of co-captain program to assist in getting people their ATPL?

Nope, you get a number like everyone else and when it's your turn and you want the left seat it's yours.

...provided you have obtained an ATPL.

As a point of interest, we have a 22 year DH8 F/O who will continue to be an F/O because he hasn't got an ATPL. He could get it but likes his current position. There may be more within the company.
