Seeking guidance as new comer in Canadian Aviation Industry

Post by exocet »

Hello Everyone,

I am a 43 yr old male and got my Canadian permanent residency back in Jan 2020; after receiving my COPR (certificate of permanent residency) I was planning to move to Canada by July 2020 from Dubai, UAE where i presently work, but due to Covid-19, my travel plans went on hold. My professional background is 20yrs in the aviation/airline industry and have worked in all sub-domains (passenger airline, cargo airline, business aviation, international trip planning). My core is flight ops OCC/Flight Dispatch (holding USA FAA and UAE GCAA FD licenses since 2001) and ground operations / airport ops. My last five years were spent in corporate planning of startup airline (passenger and cargo) based in UAE.

I need some in-depth guidance on the current aviation job market in Canada and the best way forward to find decent employment in OCC/Dispatch with a 703/704 operator (airline and/or corporate jet operator); i am willing to relocate to anywhere in Canada subject to a suitable job offering. I am presently working full-time in Dubai, however, my COPR deadline to land in Canada is by mid of Dec 2020.

I would really appreciate some solid feedback and/or leads/references based on the above.

Thanks a ton !!

:-D
