Is there any place in or around Edmonton that offers aerobatic and tail wheel training? If not, what places around this big ol' land do you recommend?

There's quite an active community at Rocky Mountain House. They hold a number of camps there each summer and I believe they do initial training as well.

User name of jerz on here should be able to help you out.

There is a guy in Bassano (outside of Calgary) offering training in a Citabria.

Once again aerobatic training is available in the Edmonton area - good news for anyone in Alberta or neighbouring provinces.
As of this week, the Namao Flying Club at Villeneuve (CZVL) is offering aerobatic training in their Citabria 7ECA, which has been used for tailwheel training for some time.

Here's the contact info:

Michael Fox at Prairie College of Mission Aviation in Three Hills, Alberta is an aerobatic instructor who could probably help you out. He did my commercial flight test; he's a great guy, very relaxed and knowledgeable! The school does all their aerobatics in a Citabria 7ECA.
