It was a lot of hard work! He had 1000TT
and tailwheel time, but it was a big step up.

He got the first letter right, which at 1/26 is impressive ...

I know, I know. Not many names beginning with X or Z.

Speaking of Pitt's pilots,

Can anyone explain why the Colonel's posts have disappeared?

Has a moderator gone nuts again?

I have no idea about the colonel, but what about this:
It's disappointing to see the moderator's "banning" the colonel
and then "shutting down" that thread.

My opinion, is that opinions are like rectums, everyone has one,
and it appears that because someone want's to play god,
with their power, and ban one poster that has done a deal for
Canadian Aviation.

I have not had the pleasure of flying with him but
few have his passion and desire to help others.
His constant posts I think, really drew a lot of readers.

Now off to Prune, to avoid the simple minded moderation
that makes me want to puke.
If you are so unhappy with this site, why do you keep posting? Life is to short. Go and enjoy pprune and let the rest of us enjoy a pitts and colonel family , picture free website.

You may have no idea of "what it is about"
So I'll respond.
The Colonel has opinions like everyone else however his are more outspoken.
While I don't agree with his political views for example, I've rarely seen anything
on basic flying, flight instruction or airmanship that was not a valuable contribution
to the reading material on Aviation forums.

The "moderation" of AvCanada does not reflect sanity or the right for a variety of
opinions that are made in the public interest for the public benefit.

Yes, he engages in some "self expression", lots of pics however, I've enjoyed them
and I gain a sense that those who don't like his posts are simply jealous and feel
somehow threatened as are a large number of characters who have delusional ideas
about their holy gift that provide to aviation.

The Colonel does not need promotion, or hours, or students. He has a full time occupation,
a real job and flying is just a part time activity for him. To put it bluntly,
apart from Aviation, he has a real job and a healthy variety of interests.

There is also an insane trend to regard anyone involved in Aerobatics as a nut case,
to be avoided etc.

The world has a large range of personalities and the Colonel is one of those
that should be one that is respected rather than detested.

What I find offensive, is the moderator's historic unnecessary banning that
is often defamatory in nature not to mention offensive and an abuse of power.

It's another example of Canadian political correctness gone mad.

While I think some of your statements lack both fact and credibility, I am not going to get involved in an argument, as others may decide for themselves .

But you never did answer my question. If it makes you so unhappy, why do bother to come on this site? You had previously posted in a rather childish manner ( my opinion). That you were off to pprune because you did not like the moderation.. Yet here you are back, posting again, and declaring, once again, your unhappiness with the moderation.

It does not make a lot of sense.

This is a private site. The moderators have a difficult, unpaid job to do, and, I think they do a pretty darn good job. So....why do you bother with this website if it makes you so unhappy?
