I've had it for a very long time and it varies in intensity...right now it is very loud! Flying in the old North Star, Bug Smashers , Daks, Harvards, and working RADAR close to an active runway with CF-104s departing every few minutes really helped.

Re: Tinnitus Anyone?
Mine is not exactly high pitched (therefore maybe not tinnitus per se), but a lower pitch humming, that sounds like slightly out of phase turbofans. Never mentioned it to the medical folks; just attributed it to too many years in loud airplanes and crappy hearing (or no) protection. It's mostly just an annoyance at night that I only notice from time to time.

Awesome. Who needs a family physician or webmd? I can just self diagnose myself right here on avcanada. Pretty safe bet that I too "suffer" from tinnitus. Only really bothers me while I sleep so i always have a fan or air conditioner running for white noise to drown it out. Glad to hear I'm not alone and that its not something more serious...
