Attended Aerocourse recently and it had to be one of the worse courses that I have ever attended in relation to its structure. Have also attended a Pro IFR seminar and there was no comparision. If anyone requires details plese feel free to PM me.

Also attened an ATPL/IATRA aerocourse in the spring. Found it to be one of the best courses i have ever attended. Great instruction, well organized, would recommend it to anyone!

Like anything else it really depends on the Instructor.

one of my buddys got 100 on the INRAT! he went to write it 3 days after attending aerocourse.

Aerocourse rocks... period.

Must of been the instructor. I have attended AeroCourse and about to take another one later this year. Best money I have spent for the value.

Now I did find that if you hadn't pre-studied you would not of learned anything and would of spent half the time lost and confused.

Aerocourse are fantastic - Peter Shewring and Graham Foris on the West Coast are second to none - look at their track record - it says it all.

I think you must have recieved the one bad apple so to speak. Just like most everyone else posting replies, I too found the AreoCourse instruction and material very helpful. You know what they say about humans... no one is perfect.... you just got a bad one

Did you pass the exam? If you fail you get the course again for free if you want it

I found the course to be very helpful as well. I tried to study for the INRAT on my own and I was totally lost. I went to aerocourse and got everything straightened right out.

Provided you do some self study ahead of time or you are simply renewing an IFR rating, Aerocourse is the only way to go as far as I am concerned.

Yes, you must do some self study prior. Or pick up the Aerocourse book, work thru it, circle what you dont understnad, and ask a million questions when you get in there!

I had the pleasure to take the Aero Course IFR ground school a couple of months ago with instructor Mark, and I found it to be very professional and helpful. I also had the immense pleasure to meet Peter Shewring while helping out with some instruction help at the airline that I work for, and he is an amazing character. He is one of those people that you are truly thankful to get to meet.

Aero Course have an impressive track record with us, and I wholeheartedly recommend their products to anybody looking for INRAT, or ATPL exam help.

I love the Aerocoarse as well. Imake a lot of money briefing people who fail the written after taking the class. I'm sure it's good for some but you have to be prepared before you attend.

I took the Aerocourse for my ATPL back in the day and it was worth every penny. Excellent instruction, good atmosphere and the content in the course matched the content on the ATPL exams. I recommend it to anyone.

There's a little bit of crossover between the two exams, but for the most part:

SARON:

Section 1
Section 4 (page 4-27 onward)
Section 5
Section 6

SAMRA

Section 2
Section 3
Section 4 (4-1 to 4-26)

It's all broken down in the front of the ATPL Study and Reference guide, the names for each section and the wording used in the front of the study and reference guide don't quite line up.

Also, I never took the aerocourse myself, just used the workbook, the AIM and the Air Command Weather Manual to study, all you really need. Aerocourse sounds like a good course, but probably a waste of money if you know how to study for a TC exam. If you don't know how to study, then go for it, I guess.

I took the aerocourse INRAT course the weekend before last weekend in YYC and found it to be great. I got 86 on the exam on Thursday. I did absolutely IFR ground school or self study before I walked in. I feel like there's some more I have to learn but I am starting MIFR training this week so I wanted to have the INRAT out of the way. In a year or so when I am going for my ATPL I'll definitely go with Aerocourse again.

How do I find out when the next Aerocourse is in the YVR area??? Sounds like it may be something to consider...

Hey crit, long time no talk! My bf was looing for one locally but it`s not usually offerd here. However, in March PFC and Aerocourse are gonna be running the course. Give them a call. They usually run them out of Calgary if you dont mind travelling.
