Summit Air Ramp Wait
Does anyone know how long the ramp wait at Summit Air is right now? Also wondering how the general working conditions are there.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Probably like five or six minutes nowadays. Just remember with any of these places unless you have it in writing nobody owes you anything at any time ever. Get out there, do a killer job, find a copy of the AFM and SOPs for whatever you're likely to fly first and don't drop the ball when your time comes.

Then go find a flying job. They're a dime a dozen these days if you hit the road and look.3genav wrote:Yeah, very low hours, just got it

Received a call 2 weeks ago from this company, I was told 1.5-2 year wait.

Anyone taking a ramp job for 2 years in this job market needs there head examined.
Welcome to Redneck Airlines. We might not get you there but we'll get you close!

Yeah, I would have considered it if it was a month or two, but there's not a chance I'm going to go there if I'm going to be waiting 2 years.

Go pack your car and start driving. You'll find a job.

Yes, pack your car and start driving. Hit up every place you can. Plan your route to end in Yellowknife. If you haven't landed a job yet, try to get on at Summit. Keep looking for work all the time. Call all the places that seemed promising during your road trip. Keep that name associated with a face.
If at the end of 1.5 years, you are still at Summit, take the right seat job with a huge smile on your face.

Or stick to the plan of just getting whatever job as fast as possible. Whatever floats your boat.
