The term excellent compinsation

Post by leftoftrack »

Why is Northern Air Charter saying they are offering "excellent compinsation" in their job add when they are 15k below ACA's current offering?

They actually reserve higher pay grades for candidates who can spell "compensation". How hard did you have to work to get around your spellcheck?

This is what we call marketing. It's a click bait and it worked with you, as you clicked on their job posting. :P

leftoftrack, I do hope english is not your first language, someone even told you how to spell the word and your next post, it's still wrong. Also, "aint" aint a word, so you aint supposed to use it, sounds ridiculous, doesn't it.
As for excellent compensation, would you advertise as offering well below average pay? At least they didn't say it was industry average or above average pay, to them maybe they consider it, excellent!

Source, merriam dictionary; Although widely disapproved as nonstandard, and more common in the habitual speech of the less educated, ain't is flourishing in American English.

Being careless in your spelling, grammar and sentence structure is being intellectually lazy in my opinion.

And intellectual laziness is not a prerequisite for being a professional pilot.

In my personal opinion of course. :|

I could not see anywhere , where left of track claimed to be a professional pilot.

From Wibster's new dictionary..."compinsation"
(N). A word used by non professional pilots , or dudes, under the age of 22, to refer to the scratch they will receive from a gig.

I'm guessing they have a little ADD. I could be wrong but they did miss the Forest through the trees.

ACA upped the pay to fill spots at the new YMM base. As for NA, 85K is good money to fly a King Air with 15 days a month off guaranteed. There's room for improvement, but it beats Canwest by 14K. YMM is a shit tonne more expensive than YPE, and too far to drive. YPE decent houses start at 280K, you couldn't get a bachelor pad with a murphy bed in ymm for that.
